Textures delight the senses: the gravel path flanked by roses and grasses, stone slab steps adjacent the aggregate driveway with cobble edging.

Throughout and with ever an eye on designing elegant, minimal elements to create an enduring landscape, a multitude of details were developed for this project.  The mailbox is inset into the stone wall at the entry, the step lights integrated into the handrail posts, the handrails are slim, sinuous and sculptural.  The steps and terraces seemlessly fit with the contours of the site, minimizing grading, retaining all heritage oaks, and maximizing the 360 degree views.
